My Experience

Having just arrived in Taiwan, I was eager to dive into the local cuisine, especially dumplings, for which Taiwan is famous. Living in Taipei, a local friend recommended Fuda Dumplings (Fuda) as one of the most popular spots for dumplings among residents. Conveniently located just a few minutes' walk from Zhongshan, I knew I had to check it out! Fortunately, I had just moved into a share house, and I had met some roommates were excited to join me for a dinner expedition to Fuda. When we arrived, there was a long line, which was to be expected during lunch and dinner hours. Nevertheless, although the wait can be long, I can confidently say it’s worth it! Dining out with friends in Taiwan has its perks, as you can enjoy a wide selection of dishes if you are willing to share. As a result, me and my roomates were able to taste a wide variety of the dishes at Fuda. All were delicious, but I would highly recommend the soup dumplings (烝餃) and the Taiwanese Zhajiangmian (炸醬麵) which is similiar to the Korean Jajangmyeon. If you have a big appetite, don’t miss the spicy wontons, either!
