About

Arguably the most popular tourist destination in Taiwan, Taipei is a bustling metropolis that offers Taiwan's unique blend of modernity and tradition. From its vibrant markets intertwined with its historic temples, Taipei is a city like no other. In Taipei, you can experience everything that Taiwan has to offer: its food, culture, and amazing people. However, the best places are often well kept secrets, and as a result, in this space I hope to uncover some of my personal favourites that shall showcase the essence of Taipei, and what it's like to live as a local.

RICE BALL KING

Taipei

One of my favorite breakfast spots in Taiwan! True to its name, this place is renowned for its Taiwanese-style onigiri. While similar to Japanese onigiri, Taiwanese onigiri uses sticky rice wrapped in a crispy fried dough stick, offering a delightful twist. With a variety of delicious fillings available, you can choose from sweet, spicy, or traditional fillings, making each rice ball a unique and flavorful breakfast!
